Lead Data Engineer

As a data engineer you’re at the spearhead of our data product initiatives. As part of a newly formed data insights team, you will work closely with product management, engineering teams and data scientists from across the globe to explore new ideas and bring them to production

Our requirements

Advanced knowledge working with various databases (SQL, NoSql, GraphDBs, TimeSeries)
Strong analytical and technical skills to quickly explore APIs and unstructured data
Hands-on mentality, excellent problem-solving skills, and critical thinking
Experience working with data scientists and a good understanding of their needs
Experience in building data pipelines, data sets (e.g. with Airflow, Nifi, …) and defining the data architecture
Deep understanding of modern cloud-based data architecture and cloud provided services
Ability to clearly synthesize and communicate complex technical problems
Working knowledge of stream and event processing and related toolstacks
A broad knowledge of available tools for supporting data product development
An advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, or a similar field
3+ years of experience in a similar role

Your responsibilities

Extract and build data sets from various applications to be easily analyzed by our data scientists.
Evolve and maintain tooling and infrastructure for data analysis, data product design, and implementation
Build and maintain automated pipelines with Python and Java
Collaborate closely with engineering teams across the globe to create scalable and reliable pipelines for production systems
Actively share your knowledge and lessons learned with other teams and departments
Build internal tools and services to better understand and optimize our engineering processes

Salary

The annual salary, including a bonus, depends on your personal qualifications and experience and starts
